The BeHoCa Foundation supports as many street children in Kenya as possible to leave street life behind, so that this way of life will no longer be an obstacle to building a healthy and promising adult life.'
More than 250,000 children roam the streets of Kenya. Aimless and without future prospects. These children need help because no child belongs on the street. All children have the right to a childhood in which they do not have to worry and where they feel safe and experience love. A childhood in which the child has rights but also duties and where the individual is considered. A childhood in which they can develop and grow in full freedom and safety.
Children are the “weaker” members of society everywhere in the world. Especially children without parents or caregivers are vulnerable. They need someone to stand up for them and ensure they get what they need and are entitled to.
The BeHoCa Foundation is committed to this and takes in as many street children as possible in their home (first project) where the children receive sufficient specialized help and support. This so that the children dare to open up again, dare to dream, dare to change, learn and grow, but above all… dare and are allowed to be children again!
